Join us for the Grand Opening of ALTAR by Spirit House and explore the mystical "Artist as Muse" experience by Elena Stonaker on the weekend of the Summer Solstice in the beautiful mountains of Idyllwild, CA.
This is a self guided immersive creative experience open to all levels of artists and non-identifying artists... meditative, lush, and serene. Renowned artist, Elena Stonaker, creates a living vignette of sculpture, painted models to pique your inspiration and co-create mythical narratives.
Drawing has always been a powerful manifestation tool: creating new realities through simple acts of creation. Drawing from life offers the chance to slow down, focus, and hone observational skills.
This changes the ways we see, broadening our perspectives. This experience also acts as a deep celebration of the human form, and a bonding relationship between subject and muse.
*Bring your favorite drawing or mark making supplies (nothing too messy, self contained.) Wear comfortable clothing, maybe a cushion to sit on.

Elena Stonaker
Elena Stonaker is a multi-media artist working in interactive textile installation, painting, sculpture, design, video, and participatory audience experiences. With a deep interest in exploring a crossover between art and a wide spectrum of healing modalities, Elena creates surreal feminine worlds based on archetypal visual language, using softness, beauty and comfort to create a safe space to explore the space for growth in shadow and discomfort. Her work has been shown internationally, with most recent exhibitions at Museum of New and Old Art in Tasmania, as well as a collaborative body of work with Zapotec master ceramicist, Adrian Martinez Alarcon and Rodrigo Trevi in Oaxaca.
