Symbolic tattoos are small talismans to carry with you, infused with power and meaning. They can act as reminders of your intentions and your spiritual connection. Tattoos can remind you of who you are, as you navigate through your life. Choose from various astrological and esoteric symbols, to be hand-poked in a meditative and calm way. Hands and arms only; black ink only. Examples draw from Wicca, alchemy, astrology and more. These tattoos are poked by hand instead of using a machine, but are just as permanent! The process is quiet and gentle, letting you be present within the experience.

Rachel Howe is also known as Small Spells, which is a multi-dimensional brand, joining healing and the arts. She provides inspiration and healing through private tarot & astrology readings and reiki sessions, as well as in books that she produces about healing and spirituality. Her work in empowering others to find their way to healing also takes the form of teaching workshops on tarot and accessing intuition. Reaching a broad audience through illustrations that embrace mysticism while staying firmly rooted in the culture of modern design – drawing on the imagery of cartoons, tattoos, handmade illustrations and low-fi graphic design, she has found a voice that is both accessible and aspirational.
Whether through energy work, a hand-poked tattoo, or a t-shirt, the aim is always to lift up those around her, to raise the level of communication and self-awareness, and to enable personal healing and growth to occur. The Small Spells Tarot Deck was a culmination of the healing and artistic work she had done for herself and spread to her community, originally in Brooklyn, NY. She has continued doing this work for almost 10 years, now in Los Angeles.
