They can be beautiful opportunities to assess our journeys and check in with ourselves. Mercury is our planet of communication, technology, and messages! In an air sign such as Aquarius, it can feel inspired and fueled by newness. With this Mercury retrograde, we can feel overwhelmed by scattered thoughts and anxious energy. Be careful with your words! Make sure to connect back to your breath for more grounding practices when needed. Use writing and journaling to clear your thoughts when you’re not sure what direction to take. This retrograde energy is great for reflecting on the company we keep and who is supporting us fully. This asteroid finishing its retrograde in Taurus means we can feel more grounded and rooted into our bodies and physical spaces. Prioritize your self care and make sure to create a daily routine that feels supportive to your future habits, not your past. Self talk and self compassion are the basis of learning how to nurture ourselves. Redefine what support means to you and how you can provide it to yourself. Having a deeper understanding of what you need in order to feel comforted and safe will make you feel more grounded in yourself.

The day after our Full Moon in Cancer, Uranus stations direct after being in retrograde since August 19th 2021. Uranus is our planet of rebellion, community, and upheaval. With Uranus moving out of retrograde, we can connect with our communities and collective purpose in a more seamless way. This Uranus Retrograde could have made us feel more at odds with those around us, or shed connections that were not truly uplifting and rooted in integrity. Now that Uranus is moving direct, we can see promising developments in our social circles and new connections. We can feel called to work together with others on a more collective vision that serves us all!
What were my biggest lessons since Uranus Retrograde began in August 2021? How can I serve others in ways that feel good to me and my spirit?
On January 19th, the Sun enters Uranus’ astrological equivalent, Aquarius. Aquarius is our humanitarian, the global advocate who has a deep understanding of the collective consciousness. With Aquarius energy we can learn that it takes a village to truly create necessary change. It’s important to prioritize not only our own personal needs, but also the collective’s. Push yourself to think outside the box and in a more universal way! Be open to collaboration and experimentation over the next month. Aquarius is naturally curious to anything undiscovered and unexplored. Pushing the envelope will come naturally to you this season!

On January 24th we will experience our action planet, Mars, moving into the cardinal sign Capricorn. When Mars enters Capricorn, we can feel a rigidness come over our actions. Capricorn believes in getting things done as efficiently and effectively as possible. Use this time to put energy behind your daily tasks and to do lists. Keep your eye on the prize when working towards your goals, knowing that you are creating building blocks for a better future. Remember that we are still experiencing an Aquarius Sun season. Remain open to how your process takes fruition, and don’t fall into control tactics and micromanaging!
How can I better set myself up for long term success? Where do I see myself growing in 2022?
A few days after Mars in Capricorn, we will have a second planet transiting this hardworking sign. Mercury Retrograde will enter Capricorn on January 25th! This can be an uncomfortable placement for the fast moving Mercurian energy. Capricorn wants us to ground and slow down our processes to make sure we get it right the first time. Mercury retrograde, being connected to communication, asks us to slow down and think before we speak. This transit wants us to reflect deeply on our ideologies and belief systems. Some of us will feel called to explore and study a new subject meticulously. Even though this retrograde can feel like a collective slow down, it can be beneficial in helping us assess how we connect to others and pursue new ideas. Take this slow down as a sign to create intentionality around your ideologies and beliefs around communication and ideas!
