July's Cosmic Forecast: Showing Up for Change and Our Selves

June was a powerful demonstration (both physical and spiritual) of the collective voice and the momentum of modern mobilization via social media. How fitting this occurred during Gemini season as well. The planetary intensity of 5 retrogrades (Neptune RX in Pisces, Jupiter RX in Cap, Pluto RX in Cap, Saturn RX in Aquarius, Mercury RX in Cancer) was for us to deeply reflect on our entangled and complicated history with tradition, society, patriarchy, societal structures, and control. This is The Astrology of a Revolution. This is The Astrology of an Evolution.

The inner and outer work continues into July with the polarities of Cap and Cancer—public life vs private life, father/masculine vs mother/feminine, creating vs caring, self-mastery vs self-nurture. Saturn has been RX in Aquarius, asking us to reflect upon ways in which we can create discipline/structure for a new humanity—one that values personal freedom and equality for all. With Saturn RX entering Cap (7.1), we need to actualize these future-forward ideals into actionable and sustainable steps. It’s about walking the talk and a commitment to the long journey.

The Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Cap (7.5) is a “lights on” moment. Everything hidden will be revealed including the shadows of our modern society. We see clearly what happens when ambition, control, tradition, self-mastery, authority is left unchecked. This is an opportunity to see not only what we’ve able to achieve in the previous 6 months since the last Cap New Moon, but, more importantly, the work that’s still left to do.

Chiron (The Wounded Healer) entered Aries in Feb 2019, to remain there until 2027. This 9-year transit will bring up opportunities to deeply heal our wounding around our individuality, personality identity, self-confidence, and fear of rejection/abandonment so that we can courageously own our vision and leadership role. Chiron RX in Aries this month will challenge how you show up for yourself fearlessly.

Mercury then stations direct in Cancer (7.12), which helps us to share and communicate our emotions with greater ease. We have been offered a better understanding of what we need for self-health, self-care and self-love with the Mercury RX in Cancer. And now we can define what home means to us on all levels.

With the New Moon in Cancer (7.20) we can set new intentions on how we will better tend to our emotional needs and restorative practices. How you will refill your cup in order to service/care for others will be the question to consider.

We end the month with the Sun entering Leo (7.22) which kicks off Leo season! Creativity, vitality, and the need for presence, joy and self-expression in a variety of forms all abound. This is an outwardly, loud, fun, and crowd-pleasing energy. Expect to see more boldness and less apologizing. Take good care. Set healthy boundaries. Continue showing up for yourself and for the collective.

Sending love!
